Perspective 136

Our Guest Connaisseur writes:

Being a lifelong bachelor, I've had my aches and pains as I've gotten older, but the married men I know as they have gotten older have had their heart attacks and strokes...
there is the smoking gun...I've maintained a good physique, while the married men are competing with Shamu.

Let me see, marriage and heart attacks or bachelorhood and some aging knees...not much of a choice to consider when it pertains to one's health...at least as we speak of in the Anglosphere.

How does the old joke go...why do single men weigh less than married men?

A single man comes home, goes to the refrigerator, sees nothing he likes, and goes to bed. The married man comes home, goes to bed, sees nothing he likes, and goes to the refrigerator...

Research: Single Men Are Healthy

Interesting article here, however, we have always stated on the great and awesome Mirror that single men are far healthier (and much happier) than married men. Nobody should ever doubt this - just go to any box big retail store in the US and watch the married land whales swim about the aisles - that is empirical evidence enough.

Of course, the article has to include the matriarchal disclaimer that marriage is still meaningful, which flies in the face of any sane man that knows better than to believe such nonsense, as marriage for a man in the US is the quickest way to total and complete self-destruction - financially, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentality - per the marriage/divorce industry racket to make a man a wage slave for life to a woman enforced by the state.

Perspective Review

An interesting article, Sex And The College Girl, written in 1957, further emphasizes our Guest Connaisseur's post in Perspective 131 :

That is why we must carefully consider any type of mythical moral superiority that we might impart on women of yesteryear - as I have seen some younger men do on various forums (the eyes of the Mirror scan to and fro across the whole earth) - commenting that women were better back then than now.

I will clarify this also:

When women were ladies, us older men over-looked their bad side - their "good" outweighed their "bad" to say. They were not morally superior, just better behaved that we could tolerate them more often than not.

Note the following from the above article:

Sleeping around is a risky business, emotionally, physically, and morally, and this is no light undertaking. I have never really understood why it is considered to be so easy for girls to say yes, particularly to four different men over a period of two weeks.

Hmm...sounds like women today.

It is so easy to become tied up with old Joe, even though he is rather a bore, and avoid those nightmarish Saturday nights home with the girls. But the trouble is, once the relationship with Joe has become an established thing, getting out of it again (when Joe's conversation begins to have the stimulating effect of a dose of Seconal) is about as easy as climbing out of a mud swamp. Joe objects; how about the spring prom? A friend of mine, trying to rid herself of such a relationship, told me she felt bad about "flushing" old Joe, since he was really such a nice person. She worried for a long time, then prepared the most understanding, sensitive, kind speech she could think of, taking into account his tender feelings and possible indignation.

The classic flushing. Poor NiceGuy, even in the 50's he still finished last.

The modern American female is one of the most discussed, written-about, sore subjects to come along in ages. She has been said to be domineering, frigid, neurotic, repressed, and unfeminine. She tries to do everything at once and doesn't succeed in doing anything very well. Her problems are familiar to everyone, and, naturally, her most articulate critics are men.

Yep, you got that right...and she still is.

The article goes on about woman's manipulation and maneuvers in the area of fraternity dynamics to sort out the best mate, and how woman eventually
settles for the security of a potential wage slave sucker when all else fails.

Along with this, it continues and finishes with the cultural expectations and challenges that such a woman of that time faces...the "good guy" and "bad guy" dilemma for woman....her use of sexuality to attract a mate - then be coy about it, and
it also includes an example of the "herd" or "consensus" mentality that women are known for in making decisions (which, as a side note, has actually become the norm in many businesses as a "consensus" or "herd" arrives at a business decision instead of a leader [business unit manager, division manager, even CEO] making the decision with some advisement of key managers).

Perspective 135

Our Guest Connaisseur writes:

The US Air Force did a study to answer a basic question:

Where's the best place to look to find people who can become pilots?

The answer was surprising: Art school.

Artists think in three-dimensions and have a high level of situational awareness.

There was a fighter pilot, who always introduced himself as an artist. He was not manly enough for the conservative women per his introduction, but later, after these women found out he was a fighter pilot - things changed. He was the manly superstar sought after by conservative women. Conversely, he was attractive to liberal women as an artist...until they found out about his fighter pilot background.

Manliness is not mutually exclusively - one can be both an artist and a warrior and be manly.

Conservatively speaking, woman looks for security first, and second, and third, etc. - for her and her offspring. It runs constantly through her DNA. In this case, a fighter pilot, ready to drop bombs and fire missiles on the enemy for the security of the woman...or so her DNA tells her.

The trend supposedly of the modern woman is that of demanding the "return" of the manly man - the "retrosexual" as called in pop culture of the day. Gone is the effeminate man, the "metrosexual" so mass produced in the 1990's and the early 2000's as the model man for modern woman.

Modern woman has realized that the mextrosexual might not be good in battle to protect her and her offspring...maybe at the salon...but barbarians tend not to get manicures or their hair done.

So where is the manly man?...as the modern woman would bemoan - along with her following complaint of no good men left. He might be off pursuing artistry...and might not want to have anything to do with the modern woman - liberal or conservative...and her mutually exclusive demands. The good, manly man has left her out.
